What Does It Mean to Be Born Again?
Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3: “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
The phrase born again can be confusing. Many people grow up in church, participate in religious rituals, and stay involved in ministry — yet still wonder what it truly means.
Being born again is not about religion, confirmation, or good works. It is about transformation. It begins when sin is acknowledged, forgiveness is received through Jesus’ death on the cross, and eternal life is granted through faith in Him.
John 3:16 declares this truth: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
To be born again is to move from knowing about God to knowing Him personally through Jesus Christ.
