Leadership at Work: Serving Christ in the Everyday
Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us: “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men… It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
Leadership at work isn’t just for managers or executives. It begins with our own attitude — how we wake up, how we approach our tasks, and how we interact with others throughout the day. When our focus is on honoring God, our efforts bring Him glory, whether or not anyone else notices.
Paul told the Ephesians to walk wisely, making the most of time because the days are evil (Eph. 5:15-17). Leadership flows out of this wisdom: working with excellence, avoiding distractions, and influencing others through integrity and service.
Jesus modeled leadership through humility. In the workplace, that means no job is beneath us and every act of service is an opportunity to influence. True leadership is about serving others and pointing them to Christ — whether by praying for co-workers, starting a Bible study, or simply living out our faith daily.
God has placed you where you are on purpose. The question is: how will you lead right where He has you?
